![]() ![]() I really love the idea of using my Spectra and it not being totally obsolete, but it’s such a bother I’ve only taken the time to shoot with my 3D printed cartridge once. It was primarily focused on professional markets, and is a bit harder to find than 600/SX-70 cameras. And it’s harder to take a centered photograph since there’s an edge that doesn’t exist. The Polaroid Spectra/Image/1200 was an offshoot of Polaroid 600 that has a slightly larger frame. Whether instant cameras are reliable for ghost hunting or not, it’s obvious that they’re popular. The result of doing any of the above gives you a photo that looks well, exactly like a 600 camera- except it has an awkward unexposed line at the bottom since things don’t quite line up. You can’t stack frames in a spectra cartridge because of the size difference, although I’ve seen people mod cameras to accommodate a full 600 cartridge in various ways. If you have a spent spectra cartridge, you can also swap in a new battery and load one frame of itype/600 into it at a time into it (in a darkroom of course) and get one photo out of it at a time. Spirit photography (also called ghost photography) is a type of photography whose primary goal is to capture images of ghosts and other spiritual entities. ![]() ![]() If you have a 3D printer you can produce a reusable cartridge - into which you can either put rechargeable batteries or used SX-70/600 batteries depending on what version you print - and then have to transplant (smaller than real Spectra size) 600 or itype film in a darkroom/bag (tedious), which doesn’t always eject properly from the printed cartridge particularly if you overload it beyond a few frames at a time. It’s pretty much unavailable- and if you find any it will be expensive, and you have to prepare for the battery being spent/film expired.
